From X Nights
The Valencia Marathon is one of the most prominent races in the marathon calendar outside of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. Taking place in December each year, the marathon allows you to explore one of Europe’s most underappreciated cities in reasonable temperatures and take part in one of the most popular races on the continent.
Race Through Valencia’s Vibrant Streets During December

The Valencia Marathon offers a full marathon experience.
The Valencia Marathon is traditionally one of the last European marathons in the calendar year and offers the chance to run on Valencia’s vibrant streets in cool temperatures. Due to Valencia’s location by the sea, this is a completely flat, sea-level course that offers beautiful views, perfect running conditions and the opportunity to set a personal best.
Valencia itself is one of Spain and Europe’s most revered cities. The third-largest city in Spain, it is the birthplace of the country’s most iconic dish; paella and is awash with creativity, culture and cuisine.
Our Valencia Marathon packages offer the time to settle in to the city, prepare for your race and celebrate your achievements thereafter. With years of experience in operating tours to this event, you can trust us to make your Valencia Marathon experience a memorable one.

Running through the city centre, the route is spacious, passing along wide, closed roads with plenty of support from the side. If you’re looking for a marathon to set a personal best in, this is your marathon.

The Temperature
Valencia has pleasant weather for the time of year in December, with temperatures averaging between 16° – 17°C. For the time of year this is very pleasant, though temperatures do drop in the evening. There is a more heightened chance of rain than other months of the year, but sunny conditions can endure for 5-6 hours a day.
